A high-gloss, three-dimensional floor with the kind of depth you usually only see in luxury showrooms and architectural homes. All the durability of our flake system — with a result that genuinely turns heads.
Metallic epoxy uses mica-pigmented resins that move and shift as the floor cures, creating a three-dimensional swirl that looks completely different under different angles and lighting. The end result is a floor that has the visual depth of polished marble — but with all the practical, hard-wearing benefits of epoxy.
It's a hand-applied finish, which means every floor is genuinely unique. No two metallic installs are ever the same — even with the same colour blend.
It's the most popular finish for premium home garages, mancaves, display garages and high-end commercial spaces where the floor is part of the design — not just a surface.
Mica pigments create movement and depth in the resin — the floor seems to shift as you walk around it. Unlike anything you can paint or print.
A mirror-like gloss topcoat reflects light and amplifies the metallic effect — making the space feel brighter and bigger.
Every install is hand-finished — meaning no two floors are identical, even in the same colour. You get a floor nobody else has.
Underneath the metallic finish is the same heavy-duty epoxy build that goes into our flake floors. Same warranty, same lifespan.
The clear topcoat is formulated to resist yellowing and dulling — even with strong direct sunlight through the garage door.
Despite the high-end finish, the surface is fully sealed against oil, fuel, and household chemicals — same as our flake.
Metallic is more art than paint. We work with you to choose a base colour and accent — but the way the pigments move when the resin is laid is unique every time. That's the appeal.
Popular finishes include: Pearl White, Onyx Black, Copper Burnish, Slate Storm, Ocean Tide, Antique Bronze, Champagne, and Lava.
When you request a quote, we'll talk you through the colour options and can get samples to you. We'll also show you photos of past installs in the same blend so you can see how it has looked in different lighting.

When the garage is genuinely part of the home — a display space for cars, bikes, a workshop you actually invite people into — metallic is the finish people want. It lifts the whole space.

Car dealerships, boutiques, cafés, restaurants, event spaces — anywhere the floor is part of the brand. We've installed metallic floors in commercial settings that have outlived multiple fit-outs.
A metallic floor takes a little longer than flake — typically 2–3 days for a residential garage. The base layers cure the same; the metallic layer itself is hand-worked while wet, which is the part you can't rush.
Same as flake — diamond-grind the slab, fill cracks, prime. The smoother and cleaner the base, the better the metallic reflects.
A pigmented epoxy base in your chosen background colour. This is what the metallic layer sits on top of and reads through.
Hand-applied metallic resin worked into the surface with rollers, brushes, and movement. This is where the depth and pattern develop.
A high-gloss UV-stable clear coat locks in the finish, adds protection, and gives the floor its mirror-like reflection.
It's a smoother surface, yes. We can add a non-slip additive to the topcoat if grip matters in your space — for example, where the garage doubles as a workshop. Just let us know at the quote and we'll spec it accordingly.
Same as our flake system — built to last for decades with proper care. The base build is identical; the metallic effect is a creative finish layer on top, locked in by the clear coat.
No. The topcoat we use is UV-stable specifically to prevent yellowing — important in Melbourne garages where the door is often open in strong sun. Cheap epoxy kits don't have this; ours does.
You can choose the base colour, accent colour, and the general "style" of movement — for example, soft cloud-like flow versus more dramatic swirl. The exact pattern emerges as we work the resin, so every install is genuinely unique.
Metallic costs a bit more than flake — more labour, more skilled application time, premium pigments. We give you a like-for-like written quote on both systems so you can compare for your space.
Mop with warm water and mild detergent — same as the flake. The high gloss does show drag marks and dust more easily than a flake floor, so you'll likely give it a wipe more often. But it's still a five-minute job.
We'll talk you through the colour options, get samples to you, and show you photos of past installs in your colour. The quote is free, and there's no obligation.
